I've watched the videos and feel like I am in much better shape as we get ready for our trip. But I am worried about navigating Genie+ between different ages and varying group sizes.
We're super excited to be going to Disney for the first time as grandparents! Besides my wife and I, we have my son, his wife, and their three-year-old child. They also have a 1-year-old that we add to our dining reservations.
My question is, how easy is it to navigate Genie+ when there will be some things we all do, and other things that only a few of us will do (bigger coasters and such)? I plan on purchasing Genie+ for the whole group each day. We may also purchase some ILL for a few of us.
Thanks!
Hi Mike! It is not that hard to do, but it can be cumbersome. Keep in mind that you do not need to book LLs for any kids that are young enough to not need a paid park ticket. They are allowed to join you on any attraction that they are able to ride. When you book your first ride, go ahead and set up the free Disney Genie service (Main Menu > My Disney Genie Day > Get Started) and choose everyone that will ride that first attraction. Whenever you want to change the group of people you are booking an attraction for, you'll want to go to the My Day tab (it is a separate tab at the top of the Tip Board screen) and then choose Edit Selections. This will let you reset everything you set up when you first did My Disney Genie Day. Note that there is also an "Edit Selections" button on the Tip Board view, but that one does not let you edit your party. Hope that helps - and thanks for making our videos part of your trip planning!
