First off - huge fan of the channel, thank you so much for helping me tackle this trip and make it as enjoyable as possible for my family!
Im coming up on my pre-booking window soon and wanted to get some thoughts on my Epcot strategy. Family of 4 visiting Epcot on a Wednesday (crowd level estimated to be a 5 fwiw)
Obviously the biggest priorities are Frozen and Remy. Im traveling with 2 little ones and these are "non-negotible". After that, its just getting in as much as possible without too much backtracking. I'd also love to get on Soarin with my older son.
We're not the earliest risers and this will be our 3rd straight park day so I'm planning for a 10am start at the main entrance. We'd prefer to spend the majority of the afternoon in World Showcase.
Im considering these pre-bookings:
Nemo - 9:30-10:30am
Living with the Land - 10:30-11:30am
Remy - Anything past 2pm
1. Ride Nemo right at park entry and try to secure frozen. If not available, get earliest possible Soarin.
2. We'll likely be spending a good amount of time in the aquarium and Turtle Talk after riding Nemo. Because of this, should I replace my LWTL prebooking with Crush? That way I can potentially have Remy, Frozen (post nemo), and Soarin (post crush) by ~11am?
This would require us to do LWTL standby but I dont mind something around 20 minutes or so. Its also possible I can check into Soarin and secure something close so we dont have to leave the pavilion.
With this we can likely do Nemo, Aquarium, Crush, Soarin & LWTL before 1pm - and have Remy and Frozen LL's for the afternoon in World Showcase.
Is there anything I'm missing or any scenario where I should prebook Frozen over Remy?
Thanks!
Sounds like a good strategy, I see what you mean about using the Crush LL to allow you to start getting Soarin earlier. Soarin tends to be fairly easy to get so that would work and you could likely still get LWTL as an LL straight after it if you wanted.
The challenge will be getting that Frozen LL, hopefully if you play the slots enough it will eventually come up. From my experience of the standby line for Frozen usually takes the amount of time that it says it is (which is usually a long wait!).
Good luck with it, would love to hear how you got on.
Thanks @Craig Culp - my idea behind the Turtle Talk LL was to be able to secure Soarin as early as possible.
If I stick with the LWTL pre-booking, and we spend 45 minutes in the aquarium + Turtle Talk, I wouldnt be able to try for soarin until I scan into LWTL an hour later.
If I scan Turtle Talk right after Nemo, I can try for soarin and standby LWTL.
Essentially id start the day with Nemo, Turtle Talk, Remy LL's
And ideally by 10:30am ill have Soarin, Remy, Frozen if that makes sense.
Hi Dan! Sounds like a good plan to me. No need to get a LL for Turtle Talk. Although it's been a long time since I've seen it, I don't think they ever fill up. When you get off the ride portion, just go ask a cast member when the next show is. Best of luck and have a great trip!
