Hello!
We are planning to spend the morning in HS, then hop over to Epcot in late Jan. We will have EE and Genie plus. We are a family of 5, that loves the rides. What is the best strategy for EE/ Genie and iLL?! Must-do's are Slinky, Tower, Toy Story Mania, Rise, MMRR and maybe Rockin'. We also have never ridden Ratatouille ( it was always down) and could pass on Frozen. Guardians, Soarin and Test Track are a must-do for us at Epcot.
Hi Ashley! Since you are starting at HS and Guardians is on your must-do list, I would recommend getting an Individual Attraction LL for that one since you would not likely be able to snag the Virtual Queue. You could do the IALL for Rise, but I would suggest using your Early Entry to do that one instead (be sure to check out our Hollywood Studios Early Entry Video for tips and timing). I'd book Slinky right at 7am and modify it to get it as early as possible. You may have to play the Genie Slots quite a bit, but it would be worth it to get Slinky as close to park open as possible. As soon as you tap in at Slinky, go ahead and grab what you can for Ratatouille. It may show as "Not Currently Offered" already, but you should be able to play the slots a bit and snag something after 2pm. I would do Toy Story Mania by standby queue while you are waiting for the 2 hours to pass after booking Ratatouille. Look for opportunities to do standby queues with shorter waits. Once the 2 hours are up, play the slots for Tower, MMRR and Rockin'. Just grab whichever one gets you the quickest return time and play the slots to get your return as quick as possible so you can repeat for the other rides. Once you've booked those, try for Test Track. It may be "Not Currently Offered" depending on how busy it is and how late in the day you are at that point, but you can always snag Soarin' and modify it to try to switch it over to Test Track while you are on the bus over to Epcot. If you can't, at least you have Soarin' already lined up. Keep trying for Test Track, but you may have to do standby on that one. Which would be fine, because you should have plenty of time to do at least one longer standby queue at Epcot. Hope you have a great time!
