We have a trip for next week and i was hoping someone could give me some helpful pointers or tips on my current plan. I have the other days figured out but for our last park day we have a hopper. We are looking to do animal kingdom and studios in the same day.
Right now we have Tusker House at 7:35am for breakfast. I have MultiPass purchased but am wondering how to pull this off. We got them for studios hoping to snag a Slinky Dog and Rise (which we paid for). Now I"m second guessing how this works.
Current plans are
Alien Swirling Saucers 9:50.
Toy Story Mania 1035.
Slinky Dog 11:30.
Roundup Rodeo BBQ for lunch 12:45pm
I know Rob recommends a throwaway right away to get more rides lined up. The issue is that with this current plan we do have slinky which is great but not a lot of time at ALL at animal kingdom. We usually hang there til lunch. Now i'm questioning my decisions. What would you all recommend?
Help! (and many thanks so I don't go round and round overthinking this lol)
:)
9:50am first tap in is pretty good in terms of trying to snag more lightning lanes in Hollywood Studios.
The breakfast is the difficult bit of it, if that's a must do for you then I think the plan you currently have looks good. It will likely mean doing less at Animal Kingdom though. If you weren't to do the breakfast you could probably get FoP and Kilimanjaro done during early entry and potentially a few more rides before it gets too busy.
The alternative option which carries more risk but potentially also more reward, is to pre-book Animal Kingdom lightning lanes instead. Then go to HS a bit later and hope the lightning lane gods are on your side and you still manage to get the ones you want. Rob did actually manage this in one of the videos he did.
The only thing throwing me off is your Tucker house reservation - if you could push that to 830 or 9 then you could get Navi and safari in easy with early entry. It is one of our favorite buffets with characters but if you are ride focused and trying to hop early you may feel rushed.
If you want FOP I would either get there very early to be in the front of early entry or try for a single pass
We do have early entry. Hoping to do the safari and maybe Flight of Passage. Navi is not a must do but would be fun
Last I heard (and from personal experience in January), unofficially lightning lanes have a 3-hour return time window. So you should be able to spend a bit of extra time at Animal Kingdom as long as you get on Alien Swirling Saucers and Toy Story Mania before your lunch, and you'd be able to do Slinky Dog Dash after lunch but before 2:30.
There is always a chance that things change and the lightning lane doesn't glow green after 1 hour, so there is some risk here.
If you're starting in Animal Kingdom, then the burner ride approach won't really work. What are you planning to do at Animal Kingdom and do you have early entry?
