HI Jessica! I hope it is not too late for your trip, but we are going to try out using Standby Skipper in a video later this summer. Hoping to have it up by late-July.
I have not but I did find a good podcast on Standby Skipper over on WDWPrepSchool - They use it a lot and many of their trip reports use it. i believe the biggest benefit is that it is not a human and is just faster at 7am if it is a busy time and you really want an early slinky dog or jungle cruise for example. Then later it does the every 2 hours rides. You can still change your rides and modify.
If you purchase it prior to 7am (or for the week) it will book that first Lightning Lane for you while you purchase the Individual LL, which is useful. If you are going to stack every 2 hours it's ok to let SS book your next one but you'll have to "file maintenance" it for every 2 hours if you have a specific ride in mind. If you are churning thru the LL's starting at park open, you can tap and go and do it yourself without SS.
