Hi Rob!
I am in the airport right now, going home after our trip to Orlando, and I thought I’d make a thank you post!
We have decided last minute to do a trip from New-Brunswick to Florida with the kids (decided after Christmas, and left on Feb 20th). It was so overwhelming at first, because it was our first time going, and I wanted to fit everything in 2 weeks. We did a 4-day Cruise, we did Hollywood Studios and Universal (my son - 10 yo - is a huge Star Wars fan, and my daughter - 13 yo - is a huge Harry Potter fan).
Someone guided me to your videos, and I binge watched a whole lot of them, trying to understand Genie+ and everything around it.
With your guidance, we ended up booking a hotel at Pop Century. At 7am, I booked Slinky Dog (got an 11:00 return time - I tried playing the slots but could not get an earlier one), and I booked an ILL at ROTRat 7:01 (got a return time of 11:50). We took the Skyliner first thing in the morning and there were already so many people there, but we were able to walk to Rise, and basically walked on the ride!!! I was in shock, I couldn’t believe it!
Rose was a huge priority for us, and I knew we would want to ride it more than once, and with your tips, we got to ride it twice before noon!!! The ride went down for a while in the afternoon, so I was so happy that we got to ride it, let alone twice!
After Rise, the kids wanted to ride Smuggler’s run and that was also a walk on. They loved that one so much that we rode it 3 times in a row (until I put my foot down because I was getting nauseous! My kids aren’t very good pilots! Haha).
We then went to Slinky Dog (another family favorite), and back to Rise for our LL. After that, I was able to book ToT, Mickey’s, Toy Story Mania, Smuggler’s run (again 🤦🏻♀️), and we were able to catch Indiana Jones, ride Star Tours, ToT again, Alien Swirling Saucers, and we met Darth Vader! My son also was able to build a Lightsaber at Savi’s (while my husband and daughter went to do Toy Story Mania again), AND, we got to watch Fantasmic to finish our day.
None of that would have been possible without your help. I was super prepared, played the Genie slots (did not feel like I was on my phone all day either), and I knew which were the important rides to book. It was a super busy day that day, and we would not have been able to do half of what we did if I did not have your tips and tricks in my backpocket.
Again, thank you so much for your guidance. Me and my daughter are going again to Disney for 3 park days in May for her Baton Twirling competition, and I will definitely be watching a lot of your videos to prepare for that.
We plan on doing Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and we are not sure which one we’ll do for our 3rd day. We do have park hoppers, so might do Epcot and HS again.
Keep doing videos! :)
Caroline
Thanks so much for this lovely message, Caroline. I'm so glad to hear you had a great Disney World trip and that our videos helped to set you up for success! Hopefully our paths will cross on your next visit. 😀
