First, is there a video that covers MK during a PACKED day (comparable to peak Christmas season crowds) that maybe I have overlooked? NOT doing MVMCP. We will be at Disney for the first time ever in a couple of weeks. Park days are 12/18-12/21. We are doing MK our first day on Monday 12/18. (not a MVMCP day.) Two adults, two teens. (33, 28, 17, & 16.) I want to know what our realistic expectations should be. We are all ready for a long day, early entry to close! But is it going to be possible to do all of our MK "bucket list" attractions with it being "the busiest time of year"? Goal strategy: rope drop 7DMT & Peter Pan's flight for early entry. 2nd rope drop thunder mountain if our first LL is jungle cruise & we didnt get a return time for right around opening. Or, pirates since it's close to jungle cruise if we dont think we can get BTMRR done & make it to jungle cruise for LL. I know we will have to be flexible here and just do what makes sense based on LL's I can get, wait times, geography, etc. Our other must do's are: haunted mansion, space mountain, enchanted tales with belle, space ranger spin, transit authority people mover, adventures of winnie the pooh, it's a small world, under the sea- last prioroties: barnstormer, prince charming's carrousel & carousel of progress. (I know that is over 15 attractions we know we have set high goals, but it's everyone's first trip (possibly once in a lifetime trip) and it would be yearssss before we could ever afford to go again. So we are all determined to have the best time and make all of our dreams come true!!) TIA- Carley J! (could not remember my email password to sign up so I used my sisters since it was saved into my laptop lol)

Hope you are having an amazing time at the parks! (And I hope you packed your sweaters and jackets 😂) - You'll have to let us all know how everything went!
Hi. Love the thought you have put into this. It may be a bit late now but I would definitely consider swapping your MK day away from Monday. Counter-intuative I know but EVERYBODY thinks like you have and goes on a non-party day. And Monday is objectovely the worst day of the week to go to MK as well. Have a look at Brickers article here https://www.disneytouristblog.com/magic-kingdom-standby-itinerary-without-genie-plus-half-day-party-night/
Whatever you end up doing you'll enjoy as you seem prepared - flexibity and a sense of humour is key!
Have a great time. Well envious!
Hi Carley! First off, you seem to have put a lot of thought & planning into your MK day, so that will be super helpful in accomplishing your goals!
One little tip I thought I'd throw it, which you may already know. If you have any heavy hitter attractions that you don't get to rope drop or can't get a LL for, save it for the end of the day. As long as you get in line before the park closes, you'll be able to ride. That way you're not wasting valuable park time standing in a long line. If you're ok with missing fireworks or a parade, those are good times to ride as well with lower waits. I hope you have an amazing time!
Okay. You obviously have given this a huge amount of thought. Just a couple of things we did a little differently which you may consider. So we have the last few times rope dropped Space Mountain instead of 7 dwarfs. We bought individual Lightning Lane passes for seven dwarfs. Only once were we able to get through Space Mountain and Peter Pan and still be in a position to do the second rope drop Thunder Mountain into Frontierland (which was a higher priority for us than getting Peter Pan because you can usually ride Thunder Mountain twice in succession first thing because most rope drop Jungle Cruise..
In fairness, Jungle Cruise was not on our must list so we went with Haunted Mansion as our first Genie Plus and and rode Thunder Mountain twice then did Pirates before that first Genie plus On the days we did not have time to do Peter Pan before Frontierland rope drop as soon as we checked into Haunted Mansion we went after Peter Pan for the earliest time and then played Genie slots to improve on that time. Peter Pan we found to be a hard Genie Plus to get if you wait until later in the day. The rest of your must dos are pretty syraightforward to get Genie Plus time slots. So once you get Jungle Cruise and then Peter Pan in you should be set up for a great day. good. Have fun
