I just needed a place to express my excitement! The Flower & Garden festival is starting on February 28th 2024 🙌
Why am I so excited about this? Let me tell you! I have a trip coming up at the end of February with just me and my husband (1st time with no kids, just us!) We picked our travel dates based on a lot of factors, including work schedules, weather, crowds etc and we landed on 2/25 - 3/2. The one thing I did NOT consider at that time was the Epcot festivals, which is one of our favorite things to experience at WDW. After our plans were made and I realized my problem, I've been trying to keep some positive thoughts that it would start on 3/1 like last year and we'd at least get one day to check it out.
But can I just tell you the EXCITEMENT I felt last night when scrolling the internet to discover F&G starts on 2/28 this year! I literally jumped out of my chair 🤣 So now we'll have 3 park days to experience the festival (2024 is a leap year, 29 days in Feb 🙂) We had planned on starting or hopping to Epcot most days anyway, since that is our favorite park. I haven't been to a F&G festival in YEARS. And by years, I mean way back to when it was basically only topiaries and flower displays, no food booths or entertainment (at least that I remember, I was a kid). I'm so beyond excited! I started to share this on my FB, but realized nobody is going to care (I don't have too many Disney adults in my life 🫤) so I needed to share my excitement with others who get it! If you are still reading this (don't blame you if you're not, I definitely rambled 😆) please tell me your favorite thing about F&G! I can't wait to try as many food booths as we can. I'm assuming they do some sort of scavenger hunt or food crawl, so sign me up! I'm a happy girl today ☺️
I'm planning a trip in early March and i'm very excited about the festival! I went last year and it was the first epcot festival I had ever exprirenced since my first trip to WDW ever was in late 2020 during the soft opening after covid. There is an iphone app called "Food&Wine" (sort of a gray icon with a red & and a white wine glass) that is free and super detailed with festival offerings. They don't have the Flower & Garden lists up quite yet but when they do i would recommend going through and flagging the items you want to have! it's a really cool app and you can see the price totals for everything on your wish list and then you can see people's ratings and photos as well. And when you leave a rating you get a passport stamp which is fun as well - i like to try and get my stamps from around the world at each festival!
I feel your excitement! I was there just in May 2023 from the UK whilst the F&G Festival was on - just me and my 78 year old mother, and we loved all the character flower displays especially.
2024 trip now booked, also for May (after not having been to Orlando for almost 25 years, will now be 2 years in succession)!
Didn't get round to doing all the rides in Epcot last year, so looking forward to that too!
I'm so excited for you! I hope you have an amazing time at Flower and Garden!!! I know we will be there a lot over those first few days, so maybe we'll see yiou in the park. My birthday is Feb 29, so maybe I'll spend it at Epcot for a Flower and Garden party. 😁
Awww, that's lovely. Hubby and I had a solo trip from the uk in September and went to the Food and Wine festival. Omg it was soooo good. This year we are over with our daughters, son's in laws and grandchildren but maybe 2025 festival of the holidays.
I think the scavenger hunts are always great fun and from all the YouTube research I did the topiaries looked amazing, so much detail.
My daughter is a gardener so we are thinking of tickets for the tour round the living with the land pavilion, that looks interesting too.
Have fun xx
