Hello, we will be taking our first trip to MK on presidents week in Feb. Where is the best spot to watch the parade and how long do you need to stand to reserve the spot before the start of the parade?
All of the earscout videos have made me feel very prepared for how to use genie plus to have the most magical day! Thanks to everyone on the forum as well it has been super helpful!
Thanks!
Shelby
Shelby, I would suggest one other great spot (if background pictures are not as important). In front of the Hall of Presidents,, next to where you buy the giant turkey legs, you can find a spot sitting on the 1/4 brick wall. It is not usually packed and you can walk right up get a drink and sit down 10 minutes before the show. We have found it to be perfect!! Have fun.
Thank you so much for all these options and all your videos!
Hi Shelby! I think there are 3 good options depending on what you want. If you'd rather not camp out much for a spot and get on with your day asap when the parade is over, you should watch from Frontierland. You can get a decent spot as late as 10 minutes before showtime and since the parade starts there, you are done watching before folks on Main Street even see the parade coming. If you want the castle behind the parade in your photos, you'll want to grab a spot in the hub about 20-30 minutes on a normal day and 45 minutes to an hour on busy days. Option 3 is Main Street and there are lots of good viewing spots and there are some shady areas. You can also sit on the curb if you are early enough. You should be able to get a good spot 20-30 minutes before showtime. Keep in mind that it will take a while for the parade to get to the castle and even longer to get to Main Street. For these reasons, I almost always watch from Frontierland. Hope that helps!
