I have a business trip to Orlando next month and was thinking I'd stay a few extra days and visit Disney World. I found a DVC rental (from "DVC Shop") for 3 days but want to buy a 4-day park ticket. I'd be staying off-site for the first day. My understanding is that I will be able to link the DVC reservation with the park tickets. Will this still work if my park ticket starts a day earlier than the DVC reservation?
How will this work for lightning lanes? Will I be able to book 7 days in advance for the DVC portion but only 3 days in advance for the first day?
Having never done a DVC rental before, is there anything else I should know about it? Are there any differences from booking a regular Disney World resort? Is "DVC Shop" reputable, or is there a better place I should be looking?
Got another trip planned? Nice! As far as renting DVC points, it is no different than any other resort reservation. The only difference is you will have to link your reservation to your MDE account once you get the confirmation number. As DVC members, we have to go through that step as well. You will be in a Deluxe resort so you get that benefit too. As far as booking lightning lanes, it would still follow the same rules as a regular reservation. I’ve only worked with DVC Rental Store (Highly recommended), but I’ve heard DVC Shop and David’s rentals are both good. Hope this helps!
