Can anyone provide perspective on how difficult it is to secure a place in the Keys to the Kingdom tour on a specific day at MK? My husband and I plan to have just one park day on a trip in March and we would love to go on the tour. We are staying on property and know all about the 60 day in advance thing and we will be online at 5:45 a.m. trying to get a reservation. But, since it will be during a busy time, we are wondering what our chances will be since some folks will be staying much longer and will have access to our preferred date before we do. Also, there are only a few time slots so we assume the availability is very limited. Thanks!

Update on booking experiences: Well, our 60 day window for booking Keys to the Kingdom was a few days ago. We took @Beth Sanborn's advice and tried booking the tour at 12 midnight EST and it worked! We were able to get our preferred date and time. We had called DVC for some other questions and asked them about the timing of booking the tour. Our rep didn't know the answer but asked others in her area and she said all 6 of them said you couldn't book experiences until 6am. So it doesn't seem to be widely known that experiences (as opposed to dining reservations) can be booked at midnight. It worked for us! Thanks, Beth! We are very excited for the tour.
I'm so glad you asked this question because I had no idea that non-dining reservations started at midnight. Thanks for the tip, @Beth Sanborn
Thanks, Beth. We will be ready at midnight. I guess we were lucky last May to get Bibiddy for our granddaughter. We didn't book until 6 am but got it, albeit not our preferred time.
Thanks so much, Beth, that is really helpful to know. We have been searching online and haven't found many answers, so we will be sure to check that out. If anyone else knows a definitive answer that would be great... We weren't aware that experiences opened up at midnight . Disney fans that we are, not sure how we missed that!😯
Hi Laurie! So I think the Keys to the Kingdom tour, since it's an experience and not dinning, those reservations would become available at midnight, not 6am! So if you log on at 5:45am, you'll be almost 6 hours late from when the times become available. I'm not 100% sure on this, so maybe double check, but I know things like Bibbity Bobbity Boutique and building lightsabers & druids, those reservations open up at midnight, so I wouldn't be surprised if tours were the same.
As far as availability, I'm not 100% about this either, but the only thing non-dinning related that I notice people struggling to get reservations for is Bibbity Bobbity Boutique. I haven't booked a tour myself, but I'm part of quite a few Disney FB groups and such and I've never seen anyone mention having troubles with that. So hopefully that's a good sign!
My mother and some other family members did the Keys to the Kingdom tour years ago, and really really enjoyed it! It's something I'd like to check off my Disney bucket list as well ✨️ 😊
