Hi there my name is Michael and I haven’t been to Disney world in 15 plus years and the last time was I stayed at a Disney resort and just took Disney transportation to the parks and this time I’m just staying at an Airbnb house so I was wondering what is the best way to get to the parks if driving myself to the parking lot or should I be driving somewhere to take a Disney bus or is taking a taxi or uber the way to go would appreciate your thoughts thanks?

Hi Michael! I’ll second what Jessica said. I used to be a rental car person before the advent of Lyft/Uber. Now I find it to be a cheaper and easier alternative to renting. Of course, a lot of the cost depends on where your Airbnb is located. I love the fact that you can get an idea of the approximate ride cost before you get there. In case you weren’t aware, ride shares can’t take you to the MK entrance and will drop you at the TTC. I usually reserve the ride to take me to the Contemporary and then I’ll walk. I also usually prefer entering Epcot through the International Gateway so I’ll asked to be dropped off at the Beach Club. I also love reserving breakfast at one of the monorail resorts or at Trattoria al Forno at the Boardwalk. Rob will back me up on this, but the ‘Eggs al Forno’ is hands down my favorite breakfast dish anywhere! Hope this helps!
We stay off property a lot (annual passholders from CT) and we do a combination of renting a car and uber - If you don't have annual passes you will have to add in the cost of parking to your rental car - so Uber may be the best option - in general the cost of uber will be about the same as one day parking. Uber also gets into resorts where as you can't park at resorts unless you have a dining reservation.
Parking at Disney Springs and using their busses is a big hassle but is also a free option.
