Heigh-Ho All,
So our family's favorite time to go to Disney is in-between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The crowds are somewhat lower plus the parks decorated for the holidays... it's just the best.
Originally we had planned on going Dec 7-14. We are staying off property (Unfortunately couldn't afford on Property this year).
However we had a hiccup. Albeit a good one. My oldest Daughter started College and due to Exams we had to adjust the trip to the 14-21. I hated to do it because I know crowds are going to be much heavier than I am used to. But this trip was a Christmas gift from last year for us all and we didn't want to exclude her.
Any advice about what we can expect crowd size earlier in the trip and what we can do?
My Youngest Daughter has Autism and has had the DAS pass before. We are hopeful she can get it again.
I plan on getting Lightning Lane for Hollywood Studios as My youngest won't do a lot of the rides there. My plan is doing...
Sunday - Animal Kingdom Monday- Epcot (The Girls are going back to the park at night and Drinking around the World)
Tuesday - Off
Wednesday - Hollywood
Thursday - Magic Kingdom, I ready crowds are less that day due to the Closure for Mickey And Minnie's party, which my Wife and I have tix for that night, I will probably do LL for this day as well since our time is shorter.
My youngest in the past has been able to do Park Opening until about 3-4PM However we haven't been in some years and I am hoping if we go part of the day, go back to the resort to swim and relax and go back to the parks at night. We may be better off. I am open to suggestions, criticism any suggestions are welcome.
Hi Jason! Crowds have been completely unpredictable this year. Days that should be crowded have often been dead and days that should be slow are suddenly busy. 🤷♂️ As for your plan, I would consider moving Magic Kingdom to Tuesday and resting on Thursday before your party. I find that it is exhausting to try to do a full park day and the party in the same day. Also, that Tuesday is a party day, so you would still get the benefit of the slower crowds and you would leave early to get some additional rest at the resort. Other than that, sounds like a solid plan to me. Hope you have a magical holiday vacation!
