Hi there! I just booked our visit for May 11th-15th. I haven't visited WDW in the month May - what should I expect for weather and crowds? I was surprised that there were plenty of open dining slots - I wonder if the parks are seeing a decline in visitors? Anyhow please give me the good the bad and the ugly for the month of May. Thanks guys!

May is a lovely time to be here for all the reasons everyone has mentioned. Not too miserably hot yet, afternoon storms don't usually last long (but often cool things off a bit), crowds are moderate but usually not as crazy as Memorial Day and later. Hope you have an amazing visit!
I went in May last year, and am going again this May! Weather is great - the odd thunderstorm every other day, but crowds very manageable. Didn’t get to any of the parks until after 11am, and got on all the rides easily with Genie plus.
I'm from the UK, so by no means a local! Purely based off when we've been in May previously it was barely an issue, or if there was a storm it wasn't for long.
I’ve been in May several times and it’s great! Weather is usually warm/hot and crowds aren’t as big as they are for spring break, or later in the summer.
We're also going in May! From what I've read it's a good time to go as it's not too busy in comparison to other times of the year. When I've been in May previously the only thing I've notice is there are often a lot of school trips as it's near the end of the school term.
