We really love our live jamborees over on Patreon and I was thinking it would be fun to have a scheduled time for all of us to come hang out together here in the forum every now and again. Would you be interested in joining us for a live chat session? If so, what time(s) are best for you? Weekend days? Weekday afternoons? Let us know and we'll schedule something soon!

Great idea! If you were to do it early evening for yourself (say 6pm) then that would allow people in Europe to also participate without it being the middle of the night.

Have you looked into something like this? https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-chat-allowing-members-to-chat-with-each-other-using-members-chat

I've never used it myself, and don't know how much effort it would take to set up.

Thanks for sharing that. I looked into it and it seems it wouldn't work the way I was wanting because it creates a bunch of direct messages, not a group chat room. We have a group chat room over on Patreon, which is great, but I was hoping to have something here on the main site that would continue to exist so that people can find the conversation after the event and continue adding to it.

Oh okay. I thought the "group chat" option would work for this, but I guess not if you need the chat recorded in the forum for viewing and adding more messages later.
