This morning, guests at the Magic Kingdom who were eligible for Early Entry got an even earlier start than usual as Disney rolled out a new procedure for the popular resort benefit. Until further notice, guests will no longer be held at the entrance to Fantasyland and Tomorrowland before Early Entry officially begins. They will be free to go directly to the line of their first attraction or explore these lands as soon as they show proof of eligibility in the hub area in front of the castle.
As before, all guests are allowed to tap into the park ahead of Early Entry and only Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are open to eligible resort guests. If attractions are ready to open early, guests may be able to ride even earlier than 30 minutes before the park opens, though this will be at the discretion of Cast Members at each attraction.
We shared news of this change last night with our Patreon community and one of our members let us know that the new procedure was in place during her visit this morning. Patreon member Rebecca R. posted "Confirmed! We went right into 7 Dwarfs" shortly after Early Entry began.
With these changes, it’s more important than ever to arrive early if you want to maximize your early entry time. We suggest arriving at the bus stop, boat dock or monorail station at least one hour before early entry begins and ideally an hour and fifteen minutes early.
